42 years ago I was a high school football player, and developed a painful low back condition known as "Sciatica" (pinched nerve in the low back). In my case it came on suddenly after a traumatic collision during a football game that left my leg broken in two places. The pain in my low back was so intense that I couldn't sit, or stand, and sometimes I couldn't even bend over to tie my own shoes, I was afraid that I would lose my opportunity to get a scholarship and play college football if the disability continued. After considering surgery(that was the only option, according to the surgeon) I decided against it. A friend of mine convinced me to give a chiropractor a try. The chiropractor did an exam , took some x-rays, and then "adjusted" my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief, and I could use my low back again. It worked so well that I gave up football and went to Life-West Chiropractic School myself.
I have been a practicing Chiropractor in Bakersfield, CA for the past 34+ years. It's strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their low back problems. Also, they come to me with their Chronic Pain, Neck and Back Pain, Knee Pain, Shoulder/Arm Pain, Peripheral Neuropathy, Disc Herniations, Whiplash from Car Accidents, Numbness in limbs, and Headaches, just to name a few.
I have been entrusted to take care of tiny babies to college and Pro Athletes as well as Celebrities you might know. My office is both friendly and warm and we try our very best to make you feel at home.
I use a "Wholistic approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of nerve interference (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, I am able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
